Saying bye-bye to 2004

An emotional wound doesn't really heal...it just keeps oozing out blood like a very leaky tap.
- Sharon.

A wet morning to you!
I don wobble as much today, having an easier time getting around, then again it remains to be seen whether I can make it to church tonight for the Watch Night service. Further more; there will be a concert tomorrow for the BCM kids at the National Stadium which I am one of the representatives to bring the children there. Then at night got a performance that I am supposed to attend with Winnie and Pauline and some other people.
Now for the question of the day:
Do you feel lucky punk? Do you?
O.o;;
Recap of events ringing in the New Year 2005:
Watch Night Service
Arise concert for kids
Performance at the Esplanade
Aiyo ah~

Oh yeah, in relation to the Grissom thing, if my ears make me feel like Grissom, then my leg makes me feel like Doc. Robbins. All that's missing is the crutch...which I can get from YKM...Hahahhahahahhaha...

Is ringing in the New Year that big of a deal?
Some how, I not really thought about the whole effort being put into welcoming the New Year. Sure, during the millennium celebrations that was big 'Hoo-ha', but as time goes by and things start over shadowing here and there, you do wonder if it is really all worth the brouhaha.
Take for example, two years ago.
I was supposed to go to GEC for the watch night service but I was not interested in going because I was kind of in a rough patch with myself and the people in my cell group at that time (read: another story for another time). My parents asked me to go to PLMC with them for their Watch Night service, I had thought about it but then I got angry with them for some reason which I have now forgotten. That resulted in my staying at home and on the internet to chime in the New Year. Did it make a big difference for that year? No. In fact it stands out in my mind, in comparison to the other celebrations which I had. Previously there have been times where I would watch the tube past mid-night or be in church for the prayers. There was even once where my BCM kids performed for the congregation ....which I am supposed to tonight as well... (See: up).
Think about it... at this point of time when the year draws nigh, what would you be pondering over?
Who would you be with?
With the problems of the world, how would you look back on the year 2004?
So many negative things and yet so many things to be happy over. Does that all bring it to a balance?
Ever heard of the chaos theory?

The planning for my brother's wedding has begun. It's supposed to take place next year. O.O I will have to endure a whole year of nothing but 'wedding-talk'
God give me strength! Heh~

-wobbles to the television-
-wobbles back to the computer-
YKM is watching the last episode of My MVP Valentine.
I am interested in how it's going to end. Heeeheee.
-wobbles back to watch TV-

Unbelievably I posted 10 posts yesterday. XD
*wooooop didoooo*
I don think I will break that record today...I got other things to do...plus I have no idea whether I will be online tonight. (See: up)
Preemptive strike:
Happy New Year 2005!!!!!!!!!!
-BIG HUGE GIANT HUGZ-

Cheers! ^-^

2nd post of Yaya

"is this a sign that i'm not meant for having a blog!?!??!?! work!! u shit!!!!!" - Siya on her second post on her blogsite.

I felt the same way for a time when i first started blogging....heh~

I also like the part about making balls roll...bUha hahahaha ^-^

Shakespeare and 10

LVI (Sonnet 56)

- --oOo-- -

Sweet love, renew thy force; be it not said
Thy edge should blunter be than appetite,
Which but to-day by feeding is allay'd,
To-morrow sharpened in his former might:
So, love, be thou, although to-day thou fill
Thy hungry eyes, even till they wink with fulness,
To-morrow see again, and do not kill
The spirit of love, with a perpetual dulness.
Let this sad interim like the ocean be
Which parts the shore, where two contracted new
Come daily to the banks, that when they see
Return of love, more blest may be the view;
Or call it winter, which being full of care,
Makes summer's welcome, thrice more wished, more rare.

- --oOo-- -

I heard the first line in the movie 10 Things I Hate About You and i had been looking for this sonnet for ages...heh~

--Leo Burnett

At Last - Ella Fitzgerald

At last my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song
At last the skies above are blue
And my heart was wrapped up in clover
The night I looked at you
I found a dream that I can speak to
A dream that I could call my own
I found a thrill to press my cheek to
A thrill that I have never known
You smiled, and then the spell was cast
And here we are in heaven
And you are mine at last

Recognize the lyrics?
They are on the commercial for Pleasantville. :)

I've been thinking about this for a while, but I keep forgetting to write about it:
I feel like Grissom...coz of my ears...it is a very real scare because my ear infection could get worse and *choi-choi* result in my going deaf. *(choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi-choi) x1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000*
As for my legs, busting my knees is very dangerous because once you shatter your knee caps you can say toodles to your ability to walk. It's about the same as getting your back broken.

Hey Parveen~~~
I am typing this during the Bachelor....so i won't have much to tell you about Jesse's blunder...TV tome is better than I. Heh~

-wobbles for the television set-

Back from SLS's house

-crawls over to computer table and pulls self up onto the chair-
*pant pant*

Heyo~
I just came back from my grand auntie's place...as you can tell, I am doing lots better than just now. -_-;;;
I donno whether I can make it for the watch night service tomorrow, I am supposed to do an item with my cell group during the service. We're singing, but with my leg in this condition, I don know whether I can even get out of the house on my own. O.o;;;
How?!?!

Just now when I went to the house, TKM took the opportunity to ask my grand auntie (ala Sa Lau Sim aka SLS) questions about what to do for my brother's wedding. I tell you... TKM ended up taking a few pages of notes! SLS is has a reservoir of information for do's and don'ts regarding things to do up to and during the wedding day itself. I hear until headache ah~ Good thing SLS cooked curry. Heh~ Her cooking is No.1! Since I was lost half the time while they were talking, I spent my time watching the television with Sa Lau err...C...h...k....aiya...3rd Grand Uncle. And eating the curry SLS cooked with French bread ala Chiam Tao lo ti :D Muah hahahahhaa

I will have to rest my legs for the next few daays if I am to be able to get back full swing into training.

-takes deep breath-
GOD WILL HEAL ME!!!!
I WILL GET WELL SOON!!!!

-wobbles away for dinner-

-wobbles back once more-

Damn it!
My leg is bloody driving me up the wall!
Can't walk properly...limping all over the bloody place...I feel like a have grown shorter over night....arghhh~

I was watching television just now with my aunts...what show was I watching?
My MVP Valentine! o.O
Don gag on me...its true and to top it all off, the show ain't all that bad...heh~
Some how I feel that the main actor (not Tony), looks like Kian Zi. O.O
Only better looking lah~ Haha

My aunt just asked me whether I want to go over to my grand auntie's house to get her to look at my knee...hrmm...should I go?

-wobbles around in deep thought-

--Robert Vallett

I wonder how many posts I will post before the end of the year... (Read: mad rush to become more put more stuffings on the net).

Once again I have gotten myself injured. =.=;
I was doing a particular kick during training just now and when I landed, I collapsed on my knee. Therefore this time round I have injured not my left but my right knee...@$#%@%!
Which brings the number of injuries I have sustained so far even higher...I hurt my left leg in the knee and foot...got ear infection and now I have injured my right knee.
Actually I find it rather weird that all along I have been getting hurt on left parts of my body....but now it's the right side...I suppose this balances up things eh?
Can't walk properly or do anything that involves my legs now...**@&^(@^$*!
BUT! I have faith that God will heal me and I will be better by tomorrow!
YES! He will heal me! :D

- Grabs for crutches...-

Time for bed...nah...I think I will watch some more television first before I turn in... post more tml....heh~

Cheers! ^-^

A moment of silence please

A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
--Erin Majors

Question of the day:
Isn't everybody part of everyone else?

The year is fast approaching its end. God has given me many things to be grateful for. I am blessed such that I cannot remember all the things in order or even very clearly. Darn my STM. Oh well~ I thanks Him all the same and have high hope for 2005.
Watched Kung Fu Hustle again with Siya and her friend Jason. Some of the jokes are still funny on the second watch...but the disgusting parts are still very *bleah* to me X]
Happy Birthday Siya~ :)

Over the past few days I have been thinking about the amount of trash I have amounted over the past few years. Did you know that I still have some of my primary school books lying in the shelf? I still have some notes from JC on top of my boxes o.-;;; So! I decided this morning to try and get rid of as much stuff as possible. To hack with sentimental value! It's not as if I can take them to heaven with me right? Heh~
As of now, I have packed up 3 huge plastic bags, and I am going to throw away more rubbish! Woohooooo~ The main thing I would like to do is make space for my course notes and books and what not which I am using...coz they don have a proper place of keeping...the books are more like refugees at the moment. Wu jia one, know?
While packing up the things just now, my Daddy asked me to leave them all aside for 2 days before I really throw them away and he asked me to let him go through all the bags first before they go to that dustbin in the sky. Then again, if he does that there is a very big possibility that more than half the stuff will not get thrown away. O.O

The following song caught my attention when Clay Aiken sang it with the American Idol finalists this year...their rendition was so nice I almost bought the whole Earth, Wind and Fire CD for the song...hah...good thing I din do it..if not I would be broke...

Earth, Wind and fire - Fantasy

Every man has a place, in his heart there’s a space,
And the world can’t erase his fantasies
Take a ride in the sky, on our ship fantasii
All your dreams will come true, right away

And we will live together, until the twelfth of never
Our voices will ring forever, as one

Every thought is a dream, rushing by in a stream,
Bringing life to our kingdom of doing
Take a ride in the sky, on our ship fantasii
All your dreams will come true, miles away

Our voices will ring together until the twelfth of never,
We all, will live forever, as one

Come see victory, in the land called fantasy
Loving life, a new decree,
Bring your mind to everlasting liberty

Our minds will explore together, old worlds, we conquer, forever
We then, will expand love together, as one

Come to see, victory in a land called fantasy,
Loving life, for you and me, to behold, to your soul is ecstasy
You will find, other kind, that has been in search for you,
Many lives has brought you to
Recognize it’s your life, now in review
And as you stay for the play, fantasy, has in store for you,
A glowing light will see you through

It’s your day, shining day, all your dreams come true
As you glide, in your stride with the wind, as you fly away
Give a smile, from your lips, and say
I am free, yes I’m free, now I’m on my way

The clocks are ticking.
The catastrophe that happened recently is really numbing and the death toll keeps getting higher and higher, it has reminded me how blessed we are to be living in Singapore. When I look at CNA's broadcasts, all I see are numbers but if you take the time to be empathetic, the pain will definitely drive you to tears.
The clocks are ticking.

3rd day of Christmas...

Hope is the companion of power and the mother of success, for those of us who hope strongest have within us the gift of miracles.
--Sydney Bremer

Merry Christmas~
All together now...its time to sing: 12 days of Christmas.
Ladida~

Just came back from the doctor...what happened?
My ears hurt.
According to her, its a mild outer ear infection, probably re-flamed from the last time I got sick, which was less than one month ago~ O.O
She says its mild...but it sure as hack don feel mild man.
You know that scene where Kenshin does that blade thingy and make Enishi's ear go nuts and Enishi resorts to pulling out part of his ear? Well...it’s not that bad for my ears...thank God :)

I don't remember going to a doctor so many times in a year, unless you count the time when I got gastric flu. I went to the doctor about 6 times and to different doctors and even got an x-ray to try and determine what was going wrong with my poor 10 year young body.
Other times when I was sick or extremely sick, I would be sent to the hospital. Once for mumps, high fever and erm... something else I can't remember. The high fever must have given me severe STM (ala Short Term Memory)...haha~

Went to Mr. Chow's house for Christmas lunch/tea. Mrs. Chow is a very good cook! She' cooked the turkey and all the other mouth watering dishes from scratch man. Props to her!
A lot of people turned up for the party. So much so, Mr. Chow commented that he did not know if some were invited by him or they invited themselves. O.o
I left the house kind of late and had to rush down to GEC to practice for the Christmas service.

The performance in church was good. I have never sung in front of my church congregation before, so it was kind of interesting. The lights on the stage contrast such with the rest of the auditorium lights that I could not see anyone clearly in the crowd. I and my choir friend were joking that as angels our halos should be shining behind our heads and not in front of our faces. o.=;;
I will be singing during the Watch Night service with my cell group...should be fun :D

Later~
Cheers! ^-^

Christmas 2004 ^-^

We shall draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival.
--Sir Winston Churchill

Greetings and salutations one and all!
Have yourselves a merry little christmas and feel the warmth man~ Feel the warmth~

Tis' the day before Christmas and everyone is rushing here and there, for last minutes shopping no doubt.-.-; Orchard road is sooooo packed man~ The place is so crowded that no one goes there anymore. -Hoot!- :p Just came back from there anyway...that's how i know...going back again later... o.-;; Heh~
"The Supreme Court has ruled that they cannot have a nativity scene in Washington, D.C. This wasn't for any religious reasons. They couldn't find three wise men and a virgin."

Once more with feeling:

A bed! A bed! My kingdom for a bed! -Yawn-

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson

Notice:
If you missed the performance at Orchard road last Saturday *tsk! tsk!*, here's your second/last chance to catch the choir(and me) in action!
The choir wil be singing during the service at my church this Saturday(ala Christmas day) which starts at 7pm.
Got quiries?
Ask me!^-^

Alright man~
i survived the last three days...wooohooo~

Saturday breezed by in a flash - slacked the day away waiting to go to church and get ready for the performance at Orchard road. There were no butterflies...rather odd actually...i felt more numb than anything *do i get an encore...do u want more...*
The performance was a success!
Had a good time singing, felt kinda jittery before going on stage but it was all over before i knew it...heh~
Took the MRT home with the girls and had a total 'turn left, turn right' thing with Joshua Sim. XD
I had to wrestle with some personal demons when i got home...loong story but i am glad that God sent an angel to help me. ^-^

Sunday...
was totally wasted in the morning coz i slept at 2am the previous morning. Got ready for going to the wedding in record time. My brother picked us up and down to Fullerton we all went.
The bride was beautiful and the groom was ...well. my cousin. hee~
Very happy for Daniel korkor.
The food was ok lah...it is Fullerton after all, but i was very unhappy with the size of the portions...bloody small xia~
I sat with my brother, his wife, Joshua korq, my youngest cousin, Priscilla and 5 of her friends...of them 6 i shall keep my comments to myself.
Half way through the lunch, the single girls were called to the centre of the ballroom to try and catch the bouquet from the bride...i din catch it, but i got an ang pow. Which would you choose? Money or the possiblilty of being the next to get married?
I had a good time chatting the time away with Joshua korq, its not as if i get to see or talk to him everyday...looking forward to k-boxing with him one day..heh~
Wanna know wht Joshua korq looks like?
Well....in a suit, he looks like the god-father. O.o Really i mean it...don believe me i can show you the photos. Hahaha...
I got to drink some red wine. Very warming liquid...i like...definitely prefer it to beer...any day of the week and twice on sundays. :D

Initially, my parents wanted to go to Wesley for the evening service...but dragging here and there and hanging out in the wedding suit kinda busted their plans, so at 5.30pm...after saying good-bye to everyone who was left, me and my parents took a walk to the bus stop to wait for the bus...
What happened to Korkor and Ta sao?
They had an appointment with a hotel...checking out the ballrooms/packages for their own wedding dinner...i think it was Pan Pac...don really recall.
As i was saying, i got to go to the wedding suit and on the way look around and check the place out...did you know that the Fullerton has complimentary fuji apples at every lift lobby. *hint-hint* Buah hahahahahahha...
What happened at the bus stop?
I realised that my shoes, specifically , my high-heels, were coming apart so we walked to city-link's Charles and Keith to buy a new pair of shoes...once there, Mummy and I found out that all of the shoes which i like were not avaliable in my size...*woe is me the tua ka sou*
Had to settle for a pair of brown flats coz my heels were giving me problem (u try staying on your feet on heels forand they at the ultimate stage of C.M.I.(ala Cannot Make It)
Since Daddy was in the mood for shopping, we went to Raffles City and got me another two pairs of shoes plus a new blouse from Marks & Spencer...WooooHoooooo! They are all my Christmas presents from my parents :)
Finally got on the NEL train and headed for home around 7pm...while walking home from the Serangoon MRT station, a car which looked suspiciously like my brother's horned at us...you can guess who it was. No prizes for correct answers...but if you get it wrong, i have a feeling that you fail your comprehension exercises on a regular basis.
Kor drove us the rest of the way home...which lasted less than 3 minutes...o.O. Its better than walking...anytime of the week and twice on sundays. :p
Stumbled into bed around 1.30am after trying to get all my Christmas cards done.-.-;;
Trivia:
These two days mark the first time for
- me wearing make-up since primary school,
- me wearing make-up for two days in a row and
- me putting on my own make-up (All thanks to the crash course conducted by my aunts and mummy.)

Monday...ooooh monday...today.
IBM was more interesting than usual, but i freezed my bum off coz i was sitting right under the air-con duct, Yang Mui got one arm frozen. Actually we all got cold from Nageb's chilly punch-lines. -.-;;
Christmas present from Nageb: An assignment that has a deadline set for the beginning of next year. -_-;;;;;
Getting let out of the lecture theatre was a present in itself coz we don have to see him till next year~
Yang Mui and Shi Min slacked out with me while waiting for training to start...shortly after, Yong Jet joined us - in the wait for the sun to set and Mr Chow to arrive.Heh~
Training today saw me on the edge of puking what little i had for break and after class. Had no idea that not training for one week could get me into such lousy shape...either that or i am still not well. O.O Hope not. Then again, it could be due other factors.eg, The blistering heat.
Yong Jet has alot of experience in bullying girls, he's got two younger sisters...he keep teasing me during training...oh well, i can always kick him...Muah hahaha..den again not a very good idea....he got higher belt than me...*sob*
Returned home by the grace of God, i was titering on the high probibilty that i would faint on the mrt or during the walk home from the station.
I am still here...but will blast onto my bed in 't' minus 10, 9, 8, ...54,53,52...

I look, i see, i have yet to feel...the week ahead is going to be surreal. It rhymes! Ladidididididi----da~
Pardon me...my brain is going into stand by/ shut down mode.
Knock yourself out and join me... i dare you~ Buh hahahahhaa~

100,99,98,97......

Cheers! *Mmmm...good wine...*
^-^

P.S. If you wanna take a look at some wedding photos. Check out my cousin, Regina's blog site.

Two dreams

The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind.
--Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

The CCIS performance @ Orchard is tomorrow!
Woohooo~
Hope to see you guys there! ^-^

I gave Desmond his present today and asked him to time how long he took when he decided to unwrap it. You can give a guess as to how many layers I wrapped it in. I used 2 Ch U mags to wrap the present. -Migumi laughter-
Aiya~ Don have to guess lar~ He messaged me just now to tell me that he unwrapped 15 layers in 4 minutes and 44 seconds. Heh~

I have been having weird dreams lately... one to do with war, combat, time travel and a guy from school and the other involved multiple body changes and a quadruple homicide. E-gads! Doth this mean that i have been watching too much CSI? Say it isn't so~.....-goes Bon Jovi-...say it’s not true...say it isn't soo...

The next three days are going to be a blur...
Saturday - CCIS @ Orchard performance
Sunday - Cousin's Wedding
Monday - School and back to TKD training!

Lots of material to write about eh? -more Migumi laughter-

Tooodles~ ^-^

Non-training-but-still-got-training day

If you're going through hell, keep going.
--Sir Winston Churchill (1874 - 1965) British Statesman, Prime Minister, Author

Its weird going to the training ground and not being able to work out with the rest...the up-side to not training today would be that I got to be in-charge of everything (ala warm up and a bit of kicking drills) until Mr. Chow reached SIM. Mr. Chow was late today due to jams at the course way on both sides...why he went to Malaysia I have no idea...
I stayed back in school mainly to get the club's admin stuff done. That comprised to getting some stuff photocopied and later to be handed to Elaine for documentation or something like that.
Great big shout out to Yang Mui:
THANKS YANG MUI!!!!!!!!!!!
Why?
She helped me photocopy the stuff so I could take the class in warm ups.
THANKS YANG MUI!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you had a good dinner :D

Doctors orders are that I am not to have any type of exercise for one week...but I was so hoping that I might be able to go for Wednesday's training...then something else came up and trumped my chances of going for training: CHOIR PRACTICE!
Since the performance has had its date switched from the 19th to the 18th, the last practice we will having is on Wednesday - one hour after econs consultation no less. Which means that I have to put on my headless chicken and rush down to GEC for the practice.-.-;;
My voice? Will it be ok by that day?
Yes, it will! I have faith that I will be well by then! Woohoo~ The power God has!

Does anyone do anything for the sake of doing it?
Must there be a reason for doing everything?
Why can't I just do something and not have a rational answer to why I did it?
When things go wrong, do we question how they got that way?
Will we always be able to get the answers?
Would we be happy with the answers if we had them?
Who has all the answers?
How would we know if they really had them or not?
Would we even believe them if they said that they had the answers?

LiteBox on Central: Celebrity Death Match
Wooyeeaaahhh~
That show rocks!
Silly putty/ play dough never packed so much punch! It's totally outrageous how they mould the figurines and make them go head to head with one another and bite off/ pull off/ shoot off/ kick off/ -insert physical action of choice- off their opponent's heads... the show gets so violent that some parts get censored or cut off...what a racket~
If you haven't had the chance to catch it, you don't know what you’re missing! Buah hahahahahha~

Once more:
The performance has been changed to 18 Dec 2004 @ 9.30pm @ Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.

Yo Yang Mui!
Thanks ah!!! Now the next step is to go see Elaine and pass her the stuff o.O Have to pick an auspicious date...
Study pair on for Wednesday?
What time?
Wanna pull Shi Min along?
What tactic(s) shall we use? -breaks into evil laughter-

Adeline,
When will you be having break again?
We get Siya and the lot for movie ya?
Which movies have you watched already?

Adelyn,
The one thing that would make your site perfect would be a change in font size of the words... I am going blind as it is...don make me blinder~

Are you laughing? Now?....Now? Heh~
Medicine time!
Cheers!

*Koff...koff...ack! KOFF KOFF KOFFF...*

Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.
--Robert Louis Stevenson

Sore throat!!!!
Sore throat!!!!
I hate sore throats....wake up everyday like someone placed sandpaper in my mouth...keep coughing because my throat is so darn itchy and my ears hurt. Don laugh! They hurt...u get it den u know arh~
The only seeming 'up-side' is sexy voice I’ve gotten...shesh~
How to attend choir practice tomorrow huh? How arh? How?!

Talking about choir...here's what happened on Wednesday...
Got up bright and early to troop down to Palm Grove to help out with the BCM camp...had fun with the kids and am very happy that they all were blessed in various ways. Sat the bus back to GEC with the kids to wait for their parents to pick them up. There was also a CCIS @ Orchard meeting that evening for volunteers. The crappy thing was that I did not know I did not have to attend that darn meeting until minutes before it started. Know why I din have to go for it? Coz I am in the choir! I missed training for that meeting!
Grrrrr...
But! All's well that ends well, I decided to stay back to accompany Winnie for the meeting and I even got a few laughs out of the gathering. Everything does happen for a reason ya?

Thursday morning...got up early once again to get to school for study pair with Yang Mui. Managed to get work done! Wooohooo~
Coincidentally or other, Yang Mui and I are both down with throat problems at the moment. Thankfully we can still use our voice boxes...it would be weird if both of us lose our voices and have to use sign language around school...heeh~ Then again, I think it would be very cool! Sign language is a beautiful form of communication after all. :D Either that or we could use post-its... just like in Na-na's lecture ya? Haha...only for an extended period of time...Hohoho...
After surviving stats and Meena without my calculator (thanks for letting me use your calculator Yang ^-^), I rushed down to meet Marcus and Yingying at City Hall MRT station ...only to have Marcus msg me to tell me that they would both be late. Oh well, I did use my time wisely though. I walked to Funan and went into various shops looking for vcds and what-not. I almost bought the Kind Arthur vcd! I was '--' close ok!
I met up with Marcus first to rush to Suntec to choop places for bible study before going to BK for dinner. Aiyo~ it’s been such a long time since I have eaten BK man~ Mushroom Swiss...*sigh~* heavy mushroom...*drools*
Anyway, Ps Prince is a dynamic and interesting speaker. I found the message both insightful and fun. His impression of Sly is very hilarious! The message made me think about quite a few things..I still am a bit confused about certain stuff, so I guess I will have to seek guidance from one of the Pastors on Sunday...
Got home late...but in time to tape Inuyasha! Woohooo~
Stayed up till 2am (that's very late for me...) to finish my sociology tutorials for today...can't believe I procrastinated for so long over that darn thing...=.=;; Had trouble sleeping because of that toopid cough...hope I can sleep tonight. *yawn*

Shi Min was the first to reach school for our weekly freakfast. O.O can't believe that she was faster than me and Yang Mui... and for the 3rd week in a row, she ate mian xian... Shi Min also thinks that her 'Donald' is 'an lian-ing' me...of all people me! Why? Coz I and him just happen to drink Jia Jia Liang Cha in the morning.-.-;;;
Soci lecture was good :D there is definitely satisfaction in getting my work done in time for the class...today's lesson is also the last one for the year... hope Dr. Wong has a good time in Shanghai.
Diana joined us for soci and econs today. :) She was on time! Hurrah!
Econs...ah econs... sleep was very tempting... Diana and I almost could not resist it...Sheena couldn't though~
Congrats on passing your Jap test Sheena! :)
Met Joshua Chong on the bus home... he's a black belt now...heh~

I want to get the J Pop ballads CD!!! It’s got niiiiiiiccceeee music~ :D

Thank you God for getting me through the week!
I finally get to sleep in tomorrow morning! Yeah! Pillow come to Mama! XD

Oh yeah...before I go...I think Mr. Incredible is very handsome...hahaha~
Have a good weekend all!
Cheers! ^-^

'i'

The universe is one great kindergarten for man. Everything that exists has brought with it its own peculiar lesson. The mountain teaches stability and grandeur; the ocean immensity and change. Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes--every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man.
--Orison Swett Marden

Yangmui: "inuyasha is a cult anime afterall..of course people get killed..haha.."
Cult anime? o.O What does that mean anyway? o.O You mean people worship that anime?

TKM and i trooped down to Plaza Singapura to watch The Incredibles today :) I also got my copies of CSI Season 3 and more info on that particular handphone plan which i wanna get my hands on...
Come to think of it... mobile plans are so mah huan that i think i might just chicken out and stock to my prepaid ways...but i like the stuff that comes with that plan...*waaaahhhhhhh* HOW!?!??! -feels a headache coming on-

Finally!
Sharon has been able to watch The Incredibles!
Do you smeeeeeellllllllllllll what Sharon is stewing????
BUhahahahahaha~...
It useless to try and measure how much i like this Pixar masterpiece because it is really *WAH*. The storyline, characters, graphics and even the music. I tip my hat off to the people who came up with the ideas. They totally deserve the cash that the movie is making! X)
The characters are very enduring and once again i find myself wishing i had super powers of my own... -wonders how she can get her genes mutated to have Storm's powers- the only character i find really creepy is Elastagirl aka Mom. Jack-jack is another thing entirely...my jaw almost dropped during the menifestation of his powers. O.O As for Edna Mode, she takes the cake! She reminds me of Silvia Toh Pek Chew! Hahaha...i dig the way she talks man...so cute!!!!! I wanna be like her! Heeh~
You would have to watch the show to get what i am taking about...i think i will buy the vcd when it comes out...and i will pick up Finding Nemo at the same time...haven gotten it yet anyway Xp
Anyone wanna watch it with me a second time? Serious.

SRJCians of 04':
How was the prom? Hope you guys had a good time :D... Details! I want details!

To becoming incredible and beyond!
Cheers~ ^-^

Who's up for some headless chicken?

What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.
--Ralph Waldo Emerson

Went out with Xinyi, Yvonne, Jessica and Cindy on Saturday morning to K-Box at Cine for lunch...den we criss crossed our way down Orchard to Far East, into and out of every clothes store there... and back all the way to Plaza Singapura... took the mrt home. I then ran like a headless-chicken to church for choir practice barely minutes after downing my dinner...
Man do my legs ache~
I had a good time :D
Even managed to get Desmond's birthday present and a christmas present for my brother... burned a huge hole in my pocket..but as long as they are happy i don mind~

Talking about being a 'headless-chicken'... due to the coming events of the next few days i will be doing more running around O.O ...these include:
BCM camp at Palm Grove
Meeting regarding CCIS @ Orchard at church
Going out with TKM
Choir practices
TKD trainings
Lectures,etc...

I feel myself falling...yes...falling...in love...*sigh~*... with 'Inuyasha'!
-Dodges the flying slippers and pillows-
Hahaha...yeah~ I'm having a huge crush on another anime guy. Hahaha... Before you get ahead of yourself, i have not forgotten about my other boy-toys...i still have various soft spots for all of them. ^-^
Knowing that 'Inuyasha' is by Takahashi Rumiko, who also did 'Ranma 1/2', i can't help drawing some comparisons between the two stories:
Characters in 'Inuyasha' somehow resemble those in Ranma 1/2... Inuyasha looks like Ranma, Kagome looks like Akane, that 'Tic' looks like that lude old guy who kept going after under-garments, etc.
The male and female leads are very thick headed when it comes to admitting their feelings.
The ugly are VERY ugly.
The good looking are VERY VERY VERY VERY good looking. :D
'Inuyasha' allows characters to be killed off... in reference to the minor bad guys... 'Ranma 1/2' does not...no matter how irritating or bad the character might be, he still gets to live ... after getting multiple knocks to the head and being taught a good lesson the 'old-school' way...muah hahaha...in this case, i think that 'Inuyasha' is taylored more to the sadistical side...which does not appeal to me as much as 'Ranma 1/2' does...
'Inuyasha' reminds me bit of Rurouni Kenshin with the triangle of Inuyasha- Kagome- Kikyo...don ask me how i make that connection...i just do... my mind is crazy that way XP 'Ranma 1/2' on the otherhand is very original (to me)....then again, it was one of the very first few comics that i got hooked on...heehee...

Casey my dudette~
Supp?
Slurp?!
heehee~
Me fine :) Tired but fine...got lots of hw and crp! i haven't got down to doing em'.....i feel a headache coming on...hahaha
i will take ur method as one of my future options :)
i guess every case will be different ya?
Thats what i love about life.

Hey Yang Mui!
Get well soon :D
Tml we can use the post-its all the way from the lecture theatre to the washroom... heehee~
Need me to bring a rubbish bin for the tissues?
Or do you plan to bulid the great wall of tissues against Na-na? XP
Once again: get well soon dear~ :)

Later y'll~
Cheers! ^-^

Helplessness

Life is an echo. You get back what you send out.

My friend just got his hair cut. It's cool especially with the two shaved off portions along both sides of his head.
I asked him why he had his hair cut that way.
His answer made stunned me.
Helpless.
That's just how i felt.
Aparently, the two strips are not shaved areas although they were done for a reason.
My friend was involved in a car accident 5 years ago.
He and his friend were the only two in the car that night, the car slammed into a tree and his friend died.
My friend was in a coma for 5 days or so before he woke up.
The scars on either side of his head are from a operation which was meant to get the acidic blood out of his face.
How does one react to that kind of information?
Of course there should be some degree of sympathy. But what else?
Ask more questions?
Look on the bright side?
Avoid the topic in the future?
I honestly had and still have no idea how to approach this matter.
What i thank God for is the second crack he has at life. Glad to am i that i have the chance to be his friend.
How would you feel?

Yang Mui,
the fever down yet? Seen a doctor yet? Are you even considering seeing one? Should go man~ Shi Min's cousin also down with fever...he even fainted in school... I wouldn't want that sort of thing happening to you dear. Get more rest and get well soon ok?

What doth tomorrow hold?
Only God knows.
Cheers all~

Lots of stuff

"I love you, but you don't love me"
"I love you but you don't see"
- Achar commercial *Woohooo~*

#NOTICE#
For the benefit of Adeline and others who have not taken this date into consideration.

19/12/2004

I will be singing in a choir at Ngee Ann City on that day. The allocated time slot we have been given is from 2130hrs to 2230hrs aka 9.30pm to 10.30pm. Please try to make it for the performance. Your being there would mean a lot to me. :D

Praise God!
YKM is doing better :) She doesn't have to use the crutches liao! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

I have been 'suffering' from 'computerlessness' ...haha...I sorely miss putting down my thoughts and sharing my love for life with you guys... so with that said...here's what happened since the last time I blogged...

As you can tell from my previous entry, I was pretty messed up from all the stuff that took place last Friday and Saturday.
All the tiredness and emotional crap kind of rolled off onto Sunday, where the speaker gave a very timely message. Thank God for that. Felt worlds better after letting God take my burdens. :D
Then that afternoon, when most of the church left for church camp, me and the BCM teachers went out for lunch at Bugis Junction. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and planning for the activities that are going to take place this month...and next year...got a lot of things to do and pray for... o.O heh~
I also got to meet up with Feng Ru, who passed me some stuff :)
THANKS FENG RU!!!!

Monday was the usual IBM and training... a new guy has just joined the club! Woohoo~ Now the club has 4 guys... when I joined... there was only Desmond...now he doesn't have to be the only thorn among the roses...haha
I managed to finish my soci assignment! Stayed up till 2am to get the thing over and done with....if not I know I would not be able to go out, have fun, go nuts without worrying about whether I would be able to hand in the assignment on time. Too much of a burden to carry around.

Tuesday was a blast!
Met up with Adeline, Siya and Yingz. We were supposed to meet Sheena but she fell ill and could not make it. The irony of it all is that she was the one who came up with the idea for us to have that get-together...hope she's feeling better...
Thanks to Adeline, I now have my very own copy of the Gladiator OST.
THANK YOU ADELINE!!!!!!!!!
The music is so *hwah~*
Back to Tuesday - we met up for pasta mania for lunch. Walked around Plaza Singapura...talked...talked...talked and ermm.....talked :D Haven seen each other for so long...what to do? Haha
Later on when we left PS and were walking to some undecided place, we ran into this char bo who wanted us to give her money to take the MRT to God knows where...she was very creepy and kinda freaked all of us out... scariest thing of all was that she approached me first O.O ... anyway, we did not lend her any money and practically ran after telling her 'No'... Later on, Cindy and Xinyi met up with us. The rest did not know them, so I did the introductions.
As we (the initial 4) were still not sure what to do with our time, we took up Xinyi's offer to go to Cine-leisure for K-BOX!!!!!
Wooohooooooooo~ We had a hack of a time singing all sorts of songs ...most of the time the songs were by Jay ..haha....I think there was even a period where all the pages were nothing but Jay songs...
I admit that I have never had the chance to see any of Jay's MVs...but now, I haven seen practically all of them! heeh~
Sang until I started croaking...haha...We wanted to go dutch but Xinyi refused to let us pay...THANKS XINYI!!!!!!!!!

I spent a good part of Wednesday with TKM at PS. We watched Shark Tale and did marketing at Carrefour.
Shark Tale is not bad. The storyline was kinda blend and predictable but the graphics were good and I had a good laugh. TKM said that she liked it and was happy that we watched it...thought I had to wake her up a few times -_-;;; Her blood sugar was too high... shouldn't have bought her that desert...oh well~
Came home, tried to sleep ... couldn't... ate dinner and proceeded to TKD at the CC. Unbelievably, Mr. Chow thought that I was going to go for double training that day... I will try not to disappoint him the next time... :)
Training was not bad...other that the fact that many kinds did not turn up ...I think it was because of the Singapore Idol finals... and other than the other sad thing - I got my thumb kicked by Alfred (again)... but I did kick him too, so I guess he don owe and I don owe him :p I walked Rachel and Gavin home... rather fun to take to energizer bunnies home from the CC... they're kinda naughty but very cute. Its fun to talk to or play with them, and return them to their parents at the end of the day....hahahaha...
Hurray for Taufik!!!!! ^-^
Singapore has a good representative for World Idol. I sincerely hope that Ken Lim will be sent.

Stats today was the normal... noisy...noisy....Meena tapping the table with her OHP pen..trying to get the noisy people to shut-up....noisy...noisy... did I mention noisy?
I find myself missing the maths classes i used to have on Saturday mornings... apart from the waking up early lah~
The classes were quiet hence we could concentrate better... i also miss bitching about the having to get up early...now I just bitch about having to go for a class that has nothing but noise...ha-ha...but seriously, I feel that I am more busy now that I have a Thursday afternoon lecture slot. -_-; Must plan the timetable well next year man~ What say you Yang Mui?
I wonder if Shi Min is still at the bus stop trying to decide where to go with her friend... Buah hahahahaha...
Tonight got Inuyasha! Booyeah~

I think its really sad that Ch i is going off the air.
Their progrmmes offer and alternative to being stuck with the crappy re-runs on Ch 5. I am going to miss watching Major Dad and NCIS, though NCIS ended its first season run last week. I hope that CH 5 will have a good time slot for the show's second season.
They had to kick the channel when it was getting good din they. Shesh~

CSI season 3 is out on VCD!!!! Yeah baby yeah~
I am soooo buying it man~
Can add to my collection :)
Just have to wait till Music Junction brings the discs in ..then I can get my discount...muah hahaha...

Hrmmm... Me thinks me might have forgotten some stuff....what to do? Me still human :) Hohohoho~

Yang Mui...your leg ok anot?
Get well soon :) if it makes you feel any better, I din get to eat sushi as well...cya for freakfast tml :)

Parveen - Have a good holiday! We'll go out when you get back ya?

Here's a cut and paste from an e-mail I received recently:
An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the
problem science has with God, the Almighty. He asks one of his new students
to stand and.....

Professor: You are a Christian, aren't you, son?
Student : Yes, sir.
Prof: So you believe in God?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student : Sure.
Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student : Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to
God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others
who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then?
Hmm?

(Student is silent.)
Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young
fella. Is God good?
Student :Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student : No.
Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student : From...God...
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this
world?
Student : Yes.
Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make
everything. Correct?
Student : Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?

(Student does not answer.)
Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All
these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student :Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?

(Student has no answer.)
Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify
and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever
seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student : No , sir.
Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt
your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God
for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.
Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable
protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist.
What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of
events.)
Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat,
superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we
don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees
below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after
that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we
use to describe the absence of heat.
We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the
opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a
thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence
of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright
light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you
have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality,
darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness,
darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is
flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality.
You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God
and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God
as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science
can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism,
but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To
view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact
that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the
opposite of life: just the absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that
they evolved from a monkey?
Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary
process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own
eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize
where the argument is going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of
evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going
endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a
scientist but a preacher?

(The class is in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen
the Professor's brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the
Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?.....No one
appears to have done so. So, according to the established
rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science
says that you have no brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your
lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student,
his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir.. The link between man & god is
FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

Till next time,
Cheers! ^-^
